We want to make the items in your home as unique as you are.

This is why we offer so many options with our products. You can customise everything including the wood type, screw finish, lighting cable colour, bulb holder finish and even more.

Our aim is for you to be able to design your own lights, furniture and accessories with us. We design & make the product and you choose the finishes so that it fits perfectly within your home.

You shouldn't have to settle for anything less than the exact colour, style or fabric that you want. This can only be achieved with small scale production - cottage size in our case!

Quality

Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of intelligent effort. Myles & Madeleine both come from a design background and prioritise the design & function of their products.

We believe good design is innovative, useful, aesthetic, honest, long-lasting, environmentally friendly and thorough to the last detail. We carefully craft all of our products from our self-built Suffolk workshop. We don't have anyone else working for us because we want to be involved in every aspect of creating your piece. Then and only then can we be certain of the quality we are providing for you.

Steam bending

We have been fine tuning our process since 2012 and through copious amounts of trial and error we have found a process that really works for our design process.

Steam bending a product into its complete, finished form eliminates the need for any unpleasant glues or fixtures. There is therefore no need for separate pieces to be glued together or nail/screwed into place. The piece of wood in it's steam-bent form is the complete finished item.

Steam bending is a low energy, ecological technique. If you would like to learn more about why we use this method in all of our designs you can find our more in our blog.

Sustainability

The shift towards living in a more planet sensitive way has begun and we plan to include as many positive adjustments in our work and life as we can. Even though we are a small business, we take sustainability very seriously.

Since 2020 we have achieved 100% compostable or recyclable packaging. Our packaging also contains zero plastic.

In 2020 we teamed up with tree-nation to help reforest the world. Together we can take action against climate change. Read the progress we have helped make in our 2 year review and find out about the next project we are supporting.

For every order that is placed on our website, we will send you a free gift to plant a tree in our forest. You can check the species that has been planted, the CO2 offset, the location of your tree and what the project is aiming to achieve.
